1 Component Cleaning: Wipe down the motors and heating components. A thin layer of dirt, dust or debris can cause a motor to overheat or create a dead spot on the igniter. Removal of these dirt, dust and debris can prolong failures to the Furnace/AC. x x
2 Vacuuming the Furnace: A clogged burner compartment can reduce heat output, and the furnace will have difficulty starting up. Vacuuming will clean out any stuck debris. x x
3 Condenser Coil Cleaning: Your AC Condenser needs to breathe. A dirty coil can cause failure to the components or higher than normal utility bills.   x
4 Filter Check: Regularly changing the furnace filter keeps your furnace from overheating, the AC from freezing up, blower motor damage and improves your indoor air quality. x x
5 Testing safety controls: Properly working safety controls protect you from fires and carbon monoxide poisoning. Condenser safety controls can also prevent low/high refrigerant pressures that can damage the AC. x x
6 Cleaning flame sensor: Your furnace has a flame sensor that turns the system on only when it confirms there’s a flame. After continued use, carbon can buildup on the sensor, and it will shut off your furnace. The cleaning will prevent these shutdowns. x  
7 Tightening electrical connections: Loose connections on the Furnace/AC can cause the wiring to overheat, cause equipment failure or a fire. x x
8 Inspecting exhaust or flue pipe: A blocked exhaust pipe will cause the furnace to shut down. A rusted or corroded flue pipe can allow for poisonous gases to enter the home. x  
9 Cleaning around the Furnace/AC: Keeping the area clean around the furnace prevents dirt, dust, and debris from entering the burner and/or blower section. x x
10 Inspect and clear out Drains: Drain lines and Condensate pumps need to be clear of debris or else a water back up can occur. A high efficiency furnace will also need the drain hoses cleaned and cleared out. x x
11 Checking the igniter: The igniter will ignite the flame when the gas valve opens providing each burner with an adequate flame. Whether it’s a spark igniter or hot surface, both must be checked and maintained differently for proper operation. x  
12 Cleaning burners: Dirty or plugged furnace burners decrease the amount of heat provided to the home and allow the flames to evenly spread and provide the flame sensor with a signal to keep the burners on. x  
13 Testing gas pressure: A low gas pressure can decrease the furnace efficiency. Too high of a gas pressure can cause the furnace to overheat and lead to component failure. x  
14 Cycling the Furnace/AC: Observation of the furnace operation is crucial. If the furnace shuts off prematurely it will cause a decreased comfort level in the home. The run cycles will be shorter as well as the furnace on/off times between cycles causing furnace inefficiency x x
15 Testing temperature differential: Temperature differential is the difference between the Return and Supply Air. Testing your furnace’s temperature differential verifies that it’s within the normal heating capacity range. A higher or lower than normal temperature difference can cause you to spend more than you need to on your heating bills. Same applies to the Cooling season. A higher or lower temperature can cause the system to freeze up or keep the system running longer, which will lead to higher utility bills. A lower temperature difference will not be able to remove humidity from the home effectively. x x
16 Testing Voltage/Amp draw to blower: A voltage/amp check of the blower motor will allow the technician to rate energy consumption. A higher amp draw can increase a failure of the motor. x x
17 Testing Voltage/Amp draw draft motor: A voltage/amp draw check of the draft motor will make sure the ratings are in range and that the motor will not fail. x x
18 Thermostat Calibration: Checking to see if the thermostat is reading the correct temperature. A faulty thermostat can result in longer or shorter run times. x x
19 Humidifier Start up: Ensure the settings are correct and that Humidity can be added to the air in the Winter months. x  
20 Humidifier Shut Down: urning off the humidifier so that the AC can Dehumidify the home properly in the summer months.T x x
21 Rating & Condition Report: A report will be generated to let you know the condition of your equipment, what repairs are needed and if it is time to Replace vs Repair. Our job is to prolong your equipment, so we actively track the data. x x
22 Before and After Pictures: Each job will begin with a Before and end with an After picture. This allows you to see the work the technician has completed and the visual proof of the changes we made. The real results come when your energy costs decrease. x x
23 Job Completion: Discuss any findings or recommendations with the customer.
